Polygraph hits the major leagues

17 October 2013

It has been proposed that the polygraph be used to resolve a legal dispute between Major League Baseball Player , Albert Pujols and radio commentator and former player Jack Clark over the former’s alleged use of Performance enhancing drugs.

Albert Pujols filed a defamation suit after Jack Clark alleged that he had used performance enhancing substances. In response to the suit , legal representatives of Mr Clark proposed that both parties undergo polygraph tests to verify their positions.

In the event that Mr Pujols should fail his test , charges will be dropped and he will issue an apology to Mr Clark. Should Mr Clark fail his test he would publicly apologise to Mr Pujols and retract his statements.

At the time of writing Mr Pujols legal representation had rejected the request as a publicity stunt.
